Afterthoughts

After a competition there are always a lot of thoughts and this competition is no different.
The free skate went good, only two big mistakes, a fall in the axel and a step-out on the lutz other then that it was a good skate. I just didnt get the score i wanted but thats figureskating sometimes you can skate good and still not get the points and you really cant do anything about that. I skated first and then the points are aways lower of course.

The short really was a dissaster i didnt feel like i was in the ice it felt like my blades was on top. the axel was ok but then it really went down hill i did 2 flipp+3toelloop and 1 lutz and the spins and steps was far from good to. But thats skating sometimes you skate bad. That night after the short i remebered an old quote from a rocky movie, "its not about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward" and that was the goal for the free to get back up. It also makes it so much easier to get back up when i always get so many people writing to me and encuraging me to fight on. To all you people i wanna say a big thanks and i hope you understand how important the support is especially when skating is hard.

I will keep working hard for next competition and hopefully i can make a great short next time, i dont know why the shorts been so hard this season. I think im a bit to afraid of missing the jumps and therefor not giving it my best. If you want a good skate you cant be afraid of falling because then you focus more on not falling and not as much on landing.

I know this is a wall of text but sometimes its nice to just write. Thank you all

It's easy to be a fan, all you have to do is love your skater and cheer him on whatever happens. All you need is some enthusiasm and some loyalty.

You are the one doing the hard work, making skating magic actually happen. And skating magic doesn't have much to do with points anyway.

Justus....keep the faith, you have a great personality and presence on the ice and we love you for that...but ATTACK and beat those jumps, you are so close to being that person who can fall and get right back up.....so close!!!!! perfection for you is not far away from your heart and all those who believe in you as a skater and a person...Go get that goal
