Short program at 15:45 :) getting ready in the hotel, really excited to kick of the season! Hoping for a good skate we will do a safe version with only double axel to try to make it easy and clean. Write after :)

Didnt reach the goal, but the purpouse off the competition is to get prepare for qualifiers at nebelhorn trophy. I acctully felt a bit nervouse =) It wasent all bad, i did a good 3+3 combination jump and got ok components so i guess it was okej. I fell in the lutz and the axel that we palnned would just be a simple 2axel went really big and became step out. I will do my best in the free tomorow but it feels good to get the first skate out of the way =) 5Justus STRID

First competition off this season. So early but I feel prepared. It feels nice to get a trial competition before Olympic qualifiers so this one is mostly to se if things needs changing or if we are on track. Off to Celje Slovenia. I will keep you posted :)

Since i have competition this weekend i made today my "bad day" i usually have one day every week when i can eat all the food I wouldnt normally eat during training. Its usually saturday but this weak wednsday is my day =)

I really wanted cupcakes so i took out my girlfriends cupcake machine =) and made normal no fancy, no health, no low sugar and no low fat, just normal great cupcakes. When i eat treats i want the real thing! I know some of you think that i only eat healthy so now you know my secret=) No one can eat right all the time and sometimes you just want a cupcake so i have one day off.

This is we're I live. My ice rink, it looks like a tent and it doesn't take a big crowd but it actually works. So empty this morning :) I love beeing alone on the ice and just skate to what ever music u want and do what u want. I'm home!

Most of the time its that simple so heres, acctually my lunch. (didnt have time to uppload) Bulgur, soybeans, orange, tomatoes, apple, kiwi and salt. Its that easy.  Try it tastes great and you can change for different fruits if you want. It made my day great =)

Ice is nice

I love cold bathtes to relax the legs but i dont have a bath tub at home, and last week I got a question if it wouldnt be possible to use a garbadge bag and fill it with cold water? I had to try off course =) the answer is NO it does not work the water just gathered around my feet but they got really cold =) I have to keep searching for something else... 
Thank u Maria Lord-Johansson now i can say i tried and it didnt work.

Today a breakfast in two steps, first a smoothie made from banana, mango strawberries, gojji berries, peanut butter and water. Then I will eat a little more after the morning practice :) train well

The second breakfast turned in to a big bowl of oatmeal with apple and cinnamonand a lot of water to drink. Now hitting the gym and preparing for a long day in the rink :)

Today for the first off-ice training  (indoors, did 30 min jog in the morning) for the day I did abs and back mostly with kettle bells. I love them, off course i do planks and variations off crunches also but i like to focus on more komplex excercises. Off ice training to me is very important and i think thats the reason why i havent hade any real injurys for a long time, and no operations besides my apendix removal. 

Othervise this is kinda a slow week with competition only a weak away but i have done my intervals and my good summer work so i think my body is ready and i feel great =) But i look forward to the periods of hard work now, i love beeing exhausted. the ice training is great the jumps start to feel ok even in the programs now, but i will keep you posted on how it goes.

Värnamo

This weekend i was 2 days in Värnamo sweden for a little training camp, not to skate but to coach. First day i had a seminar about eating healthy and training in general. I have done seminars now in many different places and i really enjoy it mostly because it really feels like i am making a difference and helping kids develop better, and like meeting all the figureskating familys of Sweden=)  

This time i was also asked if i would stay the next day and work on the camp as a coach, and im really glad i said yes=) I didnt know much about Värnamo but now i know that its surprisingly close to Copenhagen (about 3,5h with train) and the people are really friendly. The first hour we  did steps and skating and i was pleasently surprised at the level of the skating on all the skaters Malin and Petronella and all the rest of the coaches have done a great job. Then we did more jumps and spins on the later hours. I did 8,5h on ice with a lunch break in the middle but it felt like it flew by because of all the entusiastic skater.

I was happy that they really trusted me and gave me an oppertunity to show what i could teach. I got to work with most of the skater and i hade a lot of fun in doing so and i hope they learned a lot as well. 

The weekend was really inspiring, to see the passion from the skaters, the willingness to learn and how much the enjoyed skating. It felt like the scene from rocky 3 when he went with Appolo to the old gym to get him back to his roots and find his hunger for the sport.  After a long summer of hard training its easy to forget why this is the greatest sport in the world!! =) 

Now i will finaly start my normal season at home workin with my own fantastic skaters that i have really missed during the summer. Of course soon comes the first competition of this season and it feels like i am ready. BRING IT ON!!!!
