One more year because i love skating:-) I have decided to do one more year of competetive skating and i tell you it was not an easy decision.

I feel like i am getting old but with no injurys age is just a number:-)

Its expensive to skate but who needs stuff when you have goals and love your life!

last season was not my best if you look at the shortprograms but i skated great freeskates almost the whole season and practice was really progressing.

with age comes knowledge and i know how to train and how to stay in shape and i will keep learning more and use it all to get better.

We already have great plans for next seasons programs and i think it will be amzing. Also really looking forward to Europeeans in Sweden!!!

See you all from the ice and thanks for all the support =)

I am really intrested in everything about Injury prevention and i try to gather as much information as i can. I have been really succesfull at staying injury free with many different exercises and preventions.

Yesterday i was at a Team Danmark seminar about rehabilitationtraining with one of Denmarks top sports physiotherapist who talked about how to rehabilitate after injurys and also a little bit about how you could prevent them. There was unfortunately not so many new things but i got some good answers and its always good to keep updated on a very importing subject.

I will keep working on staying injury free and keep helping kids how shouldnt be injured, who instead should injoy the best sport in the world. FIGURESKATING! =)

This weekend i was at competition in Bratislva. For me this was not a very good competition i was not menatlly prepared i think. I just had 2 days at home after Nebelhorn trophy and in retrospect that really was not enough to get back mentally. I just felt off this competition and the skating reflected it i didnt get the normal competition electricity it just felt like skating and i never got in the music. But it was an experience and i couldnt have known that Nebelhorn would be so tough mentally but now i know=)
I did step-out on all jumps in the short and ended up with 52 points witch was really dissepointing. In the free i didnt do much better with only a few good jumps and a rely dumb fall in the last 2 axel=) landed me on 107 in the free and totally 159. I hoped to not be under 160 this season and that 1 point felt really bad but lets move on. PS Sorry for beeing so bad at blogging lately i will be better.

Finally at the competition for the olypic spots. The first training was great all jumps was really easy and the ice fits me perfectly. Today i have to practices on ice but the competiton starts on friday so no stress yet =)
The list looks really tough, there is a lot of great skaters competiing for only 6 spots so i have to do good.

We have been put at  great hotel with a nice spa in the basement so maybe i go for a relaxing swim before the next practice =)

This week i can not go so hard at the gym because i got the big competition next week. So this week is perfect for extra prehab stuff i usually do it at least 2 times per week. I really belive this is a big reason why i havent hade problems with injurys. This week is all about preparing for Nebelhorn trophy and the qualification for olympics. I feel ready and my body is in great shape =)

Today for the first off-ice training  (indoors, did 30 min jog in the morning) for the day I did abs and back mostly with kettle bells. I love them, off course i do planks and variations off crunches also but i like to focus on more komplex excercises. Off ice training to me is very important and i think thats the reason why i havent hade any real injurys for a long time, and no operations besides my apendix removal.

Othervise this is kinda a slow week with competition only a weak away but i have done my intervals and my good summer work so i think my body is ready and i feel great =) But i look forward to the periods of hard work now, i love beeing exhausted. the ice training is great the jumps start to feel ok even in the programs now, but i will keep you posted on how it goes.

Summer part 1. Gotland

This summer started a little different then usually with 3 weeks of training and then i did 1 week coaching. The first weeks we finished booth my new programs. I did them both with my brother and i feel like we really got the best out and im super excited to show them of in competition.

Since we get to use lyrics this season we really went with it =) the short is on the funny side to kung fu panda. The free will be a little it harder and bigger, we wanted to do something special for Europeans this year since it is in Sweden. So we went with a Swedish musical sang in Swedish "Kristina från Duvemåla" it made me feel like why didn't we always have lyrics. I also just prepared technically and physically for the next season.

The last week in Sweden worked on the camp as a coach and i tell you it was not an easy job i had eleven 45minute sessions everyday. It would have been hard but the skaters were really hard working and happy so everything actually was really great. I do a lot of coaching at home to but this was much more intense.

Now im in Oberstdorf for 3 weeks working for mr Fajf but more on that later.
